The Central New York Arts-in-Education Roundtable (CNYAER) is a group of artists, teachers, cultural organization representatives, and community members who gather in sites around Central New York to learn about each other and to set standards for arts education issues.
The Arts Education Roundtable meetings are held as a professional development service for CNY educators, artists, cultural organizations, and community members. It is our mission to encourage partnerships between schools and the cultural resources in the community.
Now in its ninth year, the CNY AIE Roundtable has been a meeting place for our arts-in-education community, providing conferences, networking sessions, professional development, two community-wide symposia themed on community building through the arts, and an ongoing source for artists, educators, and cultural organizations for information and support.
Partners for Arts Education is a member of the Arts-in-Education (AIE) Roundtable Consortium of approximately 10 regions statewide that meet to benefit the AIE community in each region and share resources, practices, networking, and professional development opportunities. The coordinators of these roundtables meet twice annually and are then asked to bring the elements of the statewide meetings back to their local constituency.
